Environmental Engineering


North Carolina State University is a preeminent research enterprise that excels in science, technology, engineering, math, design, the humanities and social sciences, textiles and veterinary medicine. The College of Engineering's mission is to provide quality education for both on campus and distance education students to ensure that students gain the knowledge and skills and be ready to lead and contribute to a global workforce environment.

The College has developed 16 online graduate degree programs at the master's level designed to serve the educational needs of practicing engineers. Two of those degree programs for distance students include the Master of Civil Engineering and the Master of Environmental Engineering. No on campus residency or thesis are required. The online degree programs and courses are the same in terms of academic rigor and requirements. Individuals may also enroll in online credit courses for professional development hours towards the completion of PE requirements.
